Hybrid: Commemorating Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche’s Parinirvana

Wednesday, June 11, from 5–6:00pm

Hosted by KCCL on June 11, starting at 5pm Atlantic Time

Since our very dear Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche passed away last year on Vaishakha day, we will be practicing “Invoking Compassion Swiftly—A Guru Yoga for Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche”, composed by His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa as part of our Vaishakha celebration.

The festival of Vaishakha or Saga Dawa Düchen is one of the four major Buddhist holidays, commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and death of Buddha Shakyamuni. It occurs on the full moon (the 15th day) of the fourth Tibetan lunar month (= saga dawa).

This guru yoga practice will be preceded by a slideshow of the life of Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche.

Who can attend: Everyone is welcome.

To attend “in person”, access the Mahasangha shrine room via the Torii gate entry at KCCL.
